... in God, but not in quite the same way as you might think, especially if you are familiar with these opening words from the Christian Creed. In the next few pages I hope to describe some of the ideas on life which I have formed over the years. These ideas have come to me, not, primarily, through reading any texts, but essentially by observation of the natural world. By making the same observations yourself you will be able to test whether what I say is close to the truth or not.
